Remove files that are listed in the .gitignore but still on the repository

git rm --cached `git ls-files -i --exclude-from=.gitignore`
// Windows

git add .
git commit -m "Removing all files in .gitignore"

Reset Working copy to repository state

git clean -xfd
git submodule foreach --recursive git clean -xfd
git reset --hard
git submodule foreach --recursive git reset --hard
git submodule update --init --recursive
